Outlaw, criminal, hero, victim; the story of Australian legend Ned Kelly is integral to the character and spirit of Australia. In our small tour group we’ll explore the fascinating world of Ned Kelly and his gang.
In Ned Kelly’s hometown Avenel we’ll enjoy a morning tea and explore his childhood. From here we’ll track his life as we travel to Glenrowan to view an educational and entertaining production about the history of the Kelly Gang. Taking a break from the life of bandits, we’ll enjoy lunch at the renowned Tatong Tavern. Afterwards we’ll visit Stringybark creek — the site of the dramatic shootout between the Kelly Gang and police — before visiting the town of Mansfield.
Recover from the racing drama of the outlaws and finish the tour with a wine tasting, the finest regional produce and sunset views at a winery. What a way to complete a fabulous country day before you are taken back to the bustling city of Melbourne.
