Bluff Hut
First, we head into Frys Hut and Tunnel Bend to check out some Gold mining relics and ingenuity. Then we proceed to Bluff Hut, the 3rd highest Hut in the High Country before descending upon Bindaree Falls.
Lake Cobbler
On the way to Lake Cobbler we will be stopping at King Hut alongside the King River. The track up to Lake Cobbler will gain some elevation as we climb the Staircase. Arriving at the Lake you will have time for a quick dip, then we will be off to Powers Lookout on the lookout for a bushranger.
Pineapple Flat
This is an easy day as we travel to King Hut and follow the King River which has 6 river crossings, enjoy a swim in the river at Pineapple Flat.
Mt. Terrible
On the way to Mt. Terrible we will visit the High-Country Maze for morning tea. Mt. Terrible Track is all uphill to the fire tower where you will get some great views. From there we wind our way down to some sleepy historical gold mining towns.
Craig's Hut
At Craig’s Hut you will enjoy the panoramic views of the soaring mountain peaks – perfect photo opportunity! Craig’s Hut was built as a film set and attracts more people than any other hut in the High Country. Then we take in the fantastic 360-degree views across to nearby Mount Buller as well as the high country range that runs from Mount Cobbler through Mount Speculation and to the Crosscut Saw and Mount Howitt from Mt. Stirling.
