Nestled in the Christmas Hills, Sugarloaf is a tranquil setting for an energetic 15km walk that circumnavigates the reservoir, offering wonderful views across the water.
You will see the eastern grey kangaroos and black-tailed wallabies that live throughout the park. If you lucky enough you may even see an echidna on waddling through the bush on or one of the walking tracks.
Keep an eye out for the spectacular Wedge Tailed Eagle also known as Bunjil the eagle to the Indigenous Wurundjeri people.
Recover from the walk and watch the afternoon go by viewing the City landscape, whilst sampling wine and fresh local produce at the acclaimed Massaros – Winery – Rustic Kitchen, Kangaroo Ground.
